EU / Brexit update as of 1st January 2021
The 1st January 2021 marks the end of the Brexit transition period and after this date, the UK will no longer be a member of the EU.
Geckota staff have been shipping internationally since 2010 and we are already VAT registered in several countries around the world. This means that for buyers in these countries - your VAT is already paid by us through our VAT registration in your country and there is no change after the 1st January 2021.
We are VAT registered in the following EU countries: Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden.
For the remaining EU countries, we do not have VAT registrations in your country so your order will be shipped to you with a "delivery duty paid" service. These countries are as follows: Austria, Denmark, Ireland and the Netherlands.
So in summary, for EU buyers there should be no additional tax to pay on your orders.
For your reference our VAT numbers are as follows:
FR 46 820888378
SE 502081 696201
AU 57 335 219 083
Unfortunately for the following EU countries that we use to offer delivery we have had to make a change and at the moment we can't offer any delivery, this may hopefully change later this year. These countries are Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
All orders placed with us are sent out from our offices here in the UK. Our products are priced in British pounds, but you can pay in you local currency using the exchange rate set by either PayPal or your bank card provider.
The VAT (sales tax) element of the order is paid by us for buyers in the UK, European Union, Australia and Canada. Orders that are sent outside of these areas do not have this tax paid and so customers there may be liable for additional import taxes and customs duties. Please be aware of this before placing your order as these taxes are paid by the recipient of the goods. We reserve the right to charge a handling fee in the case of items being returned to us by the delivery company.
