FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Geckota Unveils the Sports Mechanical Chronotimer: A Fusion of Vintage Charm and Modern Engineering

Tewkesbury, UK - October 15, 2024 - British watchmaker Geckota proudly announces the launch of the Sports Mechanical Chronotimer, a meticulously crafted timepiece that marries the elegance of vintage chronographs with contemporary design and engineering.

After two years of dedicated development, the Sports Mechanical Chronotimer emerges as a testament to Geckota's commitment to horological excellence. This new model features a completely redesigned three-piece stainless steel cushion-style case, measuring 41.5mm in diameter and a slim 12.35mm in thickness. The case showcases a harmonious blend of polished and brushed finishes, complemented by custom-coloured inserts on the crown and pushers, adding a distinctive flair to its classic silhouette.

At the heart of the Chronotimer lies the TY2901 hand-wound mechanical chronograph movement, a 19-jewel calibre inspired by the revered Swiss Venus 175. Renowned for its reliability and precision, this movement offers a 42-hour power reserve and is adorned with blued screws and polished, bevelled bridges, visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

The dial, protected by a flat sapphire crystal with a subtle blue-tinted anti-reflective coating, is available in four captivating sunburst finishes: Slate Grey, Jade Green, Maroon Red, and Pacific Teal. Each dial features a dual-layer construction with applied polished indices and hands treated with BGW9 Super-LumiNova®, ensuring legibility in low-light conditions.

Completing the ensemble is a custom-made, high-quality leather strap, designed for both comfort and durability, making the Chronotimer suitable for any occasion, from formal events to everyday wear.

“The Sports Mechanical Chronotimer is a culmination of our passion for vintage-inspired design and modern watchmaking,” said Jon Quinn, Managing Director of Geckota Brands. “We are thrilled to offer our customers a timepiece that embodies both heritage and innovation.”

Pre-orders for the Sports Mechanical Chronotimer open today, October 15, 2024, with each dial colour limited to just 50 pieces. Initially priced at £449, the watches are expected to ship from early November. Interested customers are encouraged to sign up for notifications and secure their preferred model promptly.
