Typically, these types of events are kept overseas in Switzerland, leaving many of us British watch aficionados to enjoy the festivities from a distance. However, we’re excited to announce that’s not the case for the next upcoming event in the industry. On Saturday 9, March 2024 at Lindley Hall in Westminster London, the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers is hosting an exhibition dedicated entirely to British watchmaking.

As we like to think we’ve proved ourselves, there’s an exciting resurgence in British watch and clock making right now and British made watches especially are attracting attention all over the world. The Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers was founded in reaction to this back in November 2020, establishing itself as a platform to help aid and guide members, whether that be experienced watchmakers or entirely new start-ups.
This is the first time the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers is holding an event dedicated to British watchmaking. At the exhibition, there will be over 40 British watch brands attending and of course, Geckota will be one of them!

As part of British Watchmaker’s Day, many of our favourite brands will be launching special edition watches completely exclusive to the event. We don't need any excuse to launch another fantastic watch and so, we will also be launching a very special, limited edition Ocean Scout model at the exhibition in March.

Our Geckota Ocean Scout collection is dedicated to adventure and exploration, offering robust cases, legible dials and reliable automatic movements. For the collection’s latest instalment, we’re delivering an exclusive British Watchmaker’s Day special edition limited to just 25 pieces with the Ocean Scout’s first two-toned bezel.
For the first time, the unidirectional rotating diver’s bezel is split in two, one side finished in a deep navy blue and the other in a rich burgundy. As always, legibility is guaranteed with the 60 minute scale finished in white and a luminous pip added at the 60 minute mark. The bezel tops the Ocean Scout’s classic 38.5mm wide 316L marine-grade stainless steel case equipped with a 200 metre water resistance and sapphire crystal glass.

At the end of last year, we launched our first textured display for the Ocean Scout, as seen on the Frost and Ice White editions. The same pure white rippled display of the latter is now paired with the new red and blue bezel for a wholly patriotic colourway. The dial remains punctuated by black markers and hands dressed in BGW9 Superluminova.
