We are now a carbon neutral business

I am pleased to say that as of today - we are a carbon neutral business! For the past few months we have been working with Sustainable Business Design to evaluate our current position in relation to carbon output. We have completed the study and have calculated that our total carbon output for 2019 was 172 tonnes of carbon dioxide. Initially we had no idea what this meant or how it compared to other businesses. But having done some research, I am pleased to say that the good news is that we emit 23% less than the average business in our category, which I feel is a great start. But of course we can always improve - and we have agreed to reduce our carbon emissions by 5%, year on year, for the next 5 years. This reduction is in line with the international effort to limit global warming. In addition to these reductions though, every year we will actually be a carbon neutral business as we have agreed to support a number of projects in return for carbon credits which will offset our remaining output. This year we are supporting the following projects..... • A Community Biogas project in India. • The provision of Water Purifiers in Cambodia. • A Biomass project in Russia. I am really pleased that we have been able to get to this point and I’d like to thank all of our customers and suppliers for their help and support in helping us to achieve this status.
